Hampstead Heath & Trees
Hampstead Heath
I am lucky to live close to Hampstead Heath which has wonderful woods, some of the oldest oak trees in London, ponds and grassy meadows with views across the city. A few years ago I produced a series of painting each month on the Heath depicting the changing seasons.

Trees
My love of trees is a recurring theme in my art. They invite expressive mark marking and the light and shadows are always changing. I enjoy exploring ways to depict the texture of bark, tree trunks, leaves and dappled light on the forest floor.
Alongside painting the woods of Hampstead Heath and Epping Forest, I have also taken an active role in conservation by planting saplings in Snowdonia.
